Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Your safari adventure begins in Arusha city! You’ll be picked up from your hotel and enjoy a scenic two-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Known for its large elephant herds and towering baobab trees, Tarangire boasts a diverse landscape of seasonal swamps, savannahs, and the wildlife-rich Tarangire River. As you traverse the park in a vehicle with an open roof, you’ll have the opportunity to spot a variety of animals, including birds, giraffes, impalas, zebras, lions, leopards, elands, warthogs, and elephants. After an exhilarating day of game viewing, you’ll return to your lodge for a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay.

Day 2: Game Drive in Ngorongoro Crater – Return to Arusha
After breakfast, you’ll head to the Ngorongoro Crater, often hailed as one of the most remarkable natural wonders of the world. This area is home to over 120 species of animals, including the renowned Big Five. You’ll have the chance to observe the endangered black rhino grazing peacefully and watch hippos lounging in the water.
From your open vehicle, you’ll capture and witness some of Africa’s most iconic wildlife. The crater is teeming with predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, along with large populations of wildebeest, zebras, antelopes, and Cape buffalo. It’s truly one of Africa’s premier safari destinations.
After an exciting day of exploration, enjoy a picnic lunch by the park’s famous hippo pool before heading back to Arusha. At an additional cost, you can arrange for accommodation in Arusha or a transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight to Zanzibar.
